Dedicated to the memory of Stephen Gray

A Tribute to My Dad

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Scott Gray, age 70, of Manchester, England, on 26th February 2025. He was born on 3rd December 1954 in Manchester to Lorna and John.

It’s difficult to capture the essence of someone so important in just a few sentences, but I’ll try to share a glimpse of the love, wisdom, and strength that my dad embodied.

Stephen was a devoted brother, husband, father, pops, and friend. His life was a testament to love, hard work, and integrity. He was the cornerstone of our family, and his unwavering dedication and strength shaped all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether he was wearing his whites and playing in a game of cricket, on the slopes for one of his epic ski adventures, sat at the computer where his entrepreneurial magic unfolded, or offering guidance in his quiet, steady way, his presence was a source of comfort and inspiration.

Throughout his life, he worked in the fragrance industry, where his reputation preceded him. The continual stories and tributes that surround him only serve to confirm the lasting legacy he has left behind. His impact extended far beyond his work. He was admired by all for his kindness, generosity, sense of humour, and ability to make others feel good about themselves. He had a deep love for cricket and wine, and those who shared these passions with him will carry on his memory with each moment spent in pursuit of those joys.

Though he is no longer with us, his love will remain as a guiding light, and his spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, but always remembered.
